Van Gogh: Poets and Lovers with anatomē
The Art + Scent Dialogue
anatomē was delighted to join the National Gallery for the Van Gogh: Poets and Lovers exhibit where we can explore art and scent converge to unlock profound cognitive and emotional responses. This interplay engages the orbitofrontal cortex, where sensory integration and memory evoke clarity, calm, and focus.
Each attendant was invited to explore Van Gogh’s works with additional stimuli from two Wellbeing Parfums: EXPRESSION and BALANCE.
The guests were instructed to apply the roll-on scent to their wrists or breathe in the scent directly from the bottle.
1 - Pause at The Garden of the Asylum at Saint-Rémy (1889).
Observe its layers and textures, the chaotic greenery reflecting cycles of growth and renewal.
Introduce anatomē’s Expression, with cedar wood, oakmoss and guaiacwood—evoking the restorative calm of medicinal gardens.

2 - Turn to The Public Garden, Arles (1888).
Its structured beauty pairs with anatomē’s Balance, a damask rose and cedarwood blend, anchoring you in the present.
The visual cortex and limbic system collaborate through this connection, deepening memory and emotion. Science and creativity meet, offering a transformative sensory journey.
